[Mostly] Wordless Wednesday: Peanut Butter and Jellies & A to Z

Since we're in the dead of winter, and I'm entirely landlocked, how about a photo of a jellyfish? From the aquarium, of course...

Random Jelly Factoids:

1. Jellyfish both eat and expel waste through their mouths. Pleasant.

2. Jellyfish have no nervous system, no blood, no heart, no bones and no brain. They're basically jet-propelled water.

3. Jellyfish have been around longer than dinosaurs. Guess the dinos just weren't ready for that jelly.

I've now written "jelly" too many times and really want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It doesn't help that yesterday was National Peanut Butter Day.

I guest posted at the official A-to-Z Challenge Blog today, as well, about something important to remember during the A-to-Z Challenge. You, too, can guest post over there! Just go HERE to read up on how to do so.

Any random jelly facts? Ever been stung by one? How did you celebrate National Peanut Butter Day?

I have some helpful links/software for you tomorrow (and no, it doesn't make typing sounds), and Monday sees the continuation of my notes from the Write Brain on New Models in Publishing.

May you find your Muse.

Interesting. I really like to look at the buggers, but I never hope to run into one!

Didn't need to know that first fact!

Jelly fish are scary; they come in all sizes and all degrees of toxicity.
I am hungry now.

Jellyfish are so beautiful, as is that photo you shared. Awesome!

Did you catch any peanut butter fish to go with the jellyfish and breadfish?

I love reading little facts like these. Jellyfish are so relaxing to watch. And how did I not know it was National Peanut Butter Day?!

I love to watch the jellyfish at the aquarium. In the wild, not so much. Yes, I've been stung by them before, and it isn't any fun.

I missed peanut butter day and now I'm kind of craving a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

They're so pretty. I love looking at them.

I had no clue it was National Peanut Butter Day. I would have celebrated some how.

Interesting facts about Jellyfish. That first one is not-so-pleasant, but interesting to know.

Still wavering on the A-Z. It would be madness to take it on this year, but still...

Jellyfish always remind me of a Kleenex dropped in water. The fact that they eat and crap out of their mouths is mildly gross.

I love jellyfish, despite suffering from a sting (when I was a kid) I am still captivated by them..

J.A., I have run into one! Two. I hope to not do that again, but I still enjoy looking at them.

Alex, pretty gross, huh?

Susan, I remember when I was a kid and wasn't fazed by things like deadly jellyfish. I miss that sense of immortality.

Beverly, they truly are, and thank you!

Cathy, I've never tried red pepper jelly.

Dreadnaught, I would rather not! And I think there's a word for that (emesis?).

Andrew, I eventually did after posting that.

Christine, I lucked across the information or I never would have known either.

Susan, I have, too, and hope to not repeat it. But they are peaceful to watch.

Lee, I figure every day can be PB day.

Medeia, it's never too late to celebrate peanut butter!

J.L., I figure it's madness any year, but good madness, right?

Bryan/Brandon, only mildly?

Brenda, my stings of this past summer haven't turned me against them...yet.

Wow. Fact number one is a bit stomach churning. I do love the picture though.

I've signed up to the A to Z today. It's going to be a great month!

Rebecca, yeah it is a bit, isn't it? Blech. So glad you've signed up! It will truly be a great month.
