I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! And for those with kids, may your "winter break" be a peaceful one. My son's getting his tonsils and adenoids removed today, and it sounds like recovery time will mean we're housebound for the next week-ish. Anybody out there have any great tips or tricks for post-tonsillectomy? I'm planning on a whole lotta' smoothies to get fruits and veggies into him.
I got some good news about a week ago, but I'm saving it for IWSG!

Congratulations, Lee!
Just have some ice cream handy for your kid.
I echo Alex. Cold, cream food stuff is the best for that post tonsillectomy patient. Hope he gets well very fast.
Thanks for helping me in this launch. If Thunderclap works I'll post about it. If it doesn't, I'll post about it. It might be another author tool.
Look forward to your news!
Congrats on the release, Lee! Sounds very mysterious and creepy (in the best way possible).
And yeah, I had plenty of ice cream and popsicles. Those were my world.
Lee's book does wonderful.
Only one of my children had his tonsils out and we had it done the day after Christmas. Then one of our other children came down with Strep! My biggest advice, keep anyone even a little sick away from the patient.
Good luck with the book, Lee, which sounds like it should be a hit with teens!
Ice cream sounds like a good plan.
Wonderful shout out to Lee! And GASP… we have to wait for your good news?!?!?!? Gaaaaah… can't wait. :)
He's had lots of ice cream, popsicles, apple juice, eggs, and soup. He now loves ramen. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
The cold stuff has been great for him, and now I think we're moving to warm stuff feeling better. But he's improving day by day. I'm looking forward to seeing how Thunderclap worked for you.
I don't even remember my recovery time from my procedure in 1st grade. I just remember the hospital stay. So glad he didn't have to deal with that!
That is horrible! Did that child end up getting it after the surgery, too?
So much ice cream! Which makes my daughter happy right along with him, because she gets some each day, too.
Yes! I love to have something positive to say on IWSG day.
