Hey! That's not a reindeer!
I've never seen a moose in the wild, but apparently they wander through here sometimes. Followed by five billion cameras, including ones from all the local news stations. Next time one wanders through I'm totally stalking the poor thing, too! Okay, I won't really, but you can bet your sweet bippy I'm taking a picture if I happen across one.
This big guy is from our local zoo, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
How about you? Do moose wander through your neck of the woods?
May you find your Muse.

Wow! I think I'd be using the zoom function on the camera to capture one of these big guys. I've heard they can suddenly charge if they feel threatened.
We have deer come through the yard fairly often. No moose in Florida, though there used to be mastodons roaming around here a while back.
Phew! If we had one of those wander through here...everyone would blame the government!(this is Portugal, I'm talking about). No, the most exotic we have are a couple of parrots flying about.
I've never seen a moose before and I'm a bit too far south for them to show up in my back yard. There's not enough woods for them to wander around in. I remember how shocked I was when I saw a deer!
We saw a couple of reindeer on Sunday. Interesting fact: reindeer do not live in the wild. They're domesticated caribou.
walk2write, Oh, no doubt! Absolutely not intentions of walking right up to a moose. I do love my zoom, though. A friend was just telling me about the people sending their kids up to elk bulls in the middle of a herd. Ridiculous!
Susan, hey, parrots are plenty exotic! One thing I certainly don't get around here.
JE, oh my, deer are like rabbits around here! I need to see how far south you are!
Andrew, no kidding? I didn't know that. Thanks for the interesting fact!
I've seen wild ones in Yellowstone. They're pretty big creatures and you definitely don't want to get too close. Very cool though:)
Mark, I haven't been to Yellowstone, but will some day. Now worries on me actually getting close to one!
Neat photo...nice blog.
NEW FOLLOWER.
