[Mostly] Wordless Wednesday 7/13/11

I thought it might be fun to do a [Mostly] Wordless Wednesday post each week. It's just for fun, but maybe some can inspire as story prompts.

This little guy was a friendly doughnut-eating fox up on top of Pikes Peak (one of our mountains over 14,000 feet tall, and a gorgeous view all over town which I'll share one of these days). I named him Homer.

Happy Snapping!

He's gorgeous, Shannon! I call my Pomeranian, Pica, my little "foxy" girl (I even do the finger-ears a la Garth in Wayne's World... Foxy!), because she looks so much like a red fox.

Too late at night for me to come up with a story, BUT what if... there were a werefox? Like a werewolf, you know, but... foxy! *giggle* But seriously... She could be a nimble redhead, a hunter, who morphs into a fox. Hmm!

What a beautiful fox, we have them in our garden throughout the night hours but none so beautiful as that one.

Shannon,
You are a follower of my blog, http://www.visionsoftlycreeping.blogspot.com and I want to let you know about the additional one I just started!
I have been cooking a lot in the past year, and have found there are many life lessons to be learned in the kitchen, such as paying attention to detail, patience, and of course, good things come to those who wait! I have begun blogging about this and much more.
Writing has always been my number one passion. Since I began cooking, it has quickly inched up to number two. And, as you know, when something means that much to a writer, well, we write about it!
Please stop by and visit my new blog at http://www.ivygrowsinthekitchen.blogspot.com Feel free to follow, comment, and pass on to your friends!
I have also started a Facebook “like page” for it, too. Please go there if you feel so inclined. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Ivy-Grows-in-the-Kitchen/242242792469761
Thank you for your comments and support of my writing. They encourage me to keeps going at times, and makes me want to do more.
I still write at the originial blog, just not about cooking! :)

Alyssia, your pom sounds so cute! My grandmother had poms (one really small white one and one bigger red one). They were so sweet (not like her toy poodle ~grimace~). I watched the red one once and he (Joey) shared his dog bed with my orange tabby.

I can totally see Homer changing to human form in the middle of a leap!

Yvonne,I imagine this fox is quite spoiled. He seemed really comfortable up around all us "tourists", and I imagine he gets all kinds of food that people leave there. I was able to snap a bunch of photos of him without him being concerned.

Ivy, thanks for the info! I'll have to check that out.

How cute! I love the name Homer, too. It cracks me up that he loves doughnuts, smart fox. :D

Julie, oh yes, smart fox! He was at the top of Pikes Peak, and there's a visitor center-type cafe and souvenir shop there at the top where they make special high elevation doughnuts (which are super tasty). He found a whole bag of doughnuts, so I figure someone must have left them on the car and taken off.
