Well, today is the cover reveal for Carol's upcoming release, Solomon's Compass. To introduce the reveal, I'd like to set it up with the Top Ten reasons you should check out Solomon's Compass.
10. U.S. Coast Guard
9. Former Navy Seal...sexy!
8. Romance
7. Mystery
6. Risk
5. The Compass Points
4. A quest
3. Buried treasure
2. Carol wrote it!
1. The awesome cover!!
And here it is...
Gorgeous, is it not?
Now a little information about Solomon's Compass:
Taylor is in Rock Harbor, Texas, on a quest to unearth her uncle’s treasure—a journey far outside the realm of her real life. There’s one glitch. Taylor's certain the buried treasure was all in Uncle Randy's dementia-riddled mind. Now he’s dead.
Former SEAL
Jake Solomon is in Rock Harbor under false pretenses to protect Taylor from the
fate that befell her uncle and the other members of a tight circle of Coast
Guardsmen called the Compass Points who served together on Point boats in
Vietnam.
Jake is
definitely not supposed to become involved with Taylor. That was his first
mistake. Taylor is attracted to Jake as well, but she refuses to wait for him
to locate the killer when she knows her plan will force her uncle’s murderer
into action.
But the
killer's actions are just what Jake is afraid of.
Carol Kilgore has always had stories and characters in her
head, but she didn’t know she should write them down until about a dozen years
ago. Once she started, she couldn’t stop.
Her first published short story won the Derringer Award for
Best Short-Short Mystery. She continued to write short fiction for a few years
and also enjoyed a small success as a freelancer before giving it all up for
her true love—novels.
Carol writes a
blend of mystery, suspense, and romance she calls Crime Fiction with a Kiss. Always at least one crime; always a love
story. Solomon’s Compass
is her second published novel.
As the wife of a
Coast Guard officer, Carol has lived in locations across the U.S. She and her
husband now live in a San Antonio suburb and share their home and patio with
two active herding dogs that keep them free from all danger, real or imagined.

I'll check it out even without the sexy.
Sounds like an awesome read! Carol is good people, as we say here in Texas, and I wish her tons of success. :-)
LOVE Carol. And that cover is stunning. Really love that.
Love the top ten approach! I've already got this one on my to read list :)
I love it Carol! Sounds wonderful!
Love the top 10 reasons... and love that cover! Congrats to Carol!
A Top Ten list! Yay!!!
I love the surprise!
Thanks so much for sharing.
Alex, who knows, maybe Taylor looks like Kate! ;-p
E.J., she is good people! Also, my hubby is from Texas.
Kelley, stunning is a good description of it. The emotion in the woman's face is intense and stirs a response.
T. Drecker, thanks, I thought it would be fun. Glad it's on your TBR!
J.A., doesn't it?
Lynda, thanks! And the cover is wonderful, isn't it?
Carolo, yay, I'm glad you liked it!
That's a killer cover. I love the coloring. I'd definitely check out this book... not so much for the 'sexy' navy seals, but it sounds like a fun story idea and it's not a pure romance novel. As a guy, that's pretty much all I could ask for.
gorgeous cover and the book sounds good
Oh yeah I definitely want to read it.
As for the badge, not yet. I'll grad it when I sign up. :-)
Love Carol's cover! And I have the A-Z badge up on my blogs. :)
I love the top ten list.
I love seeing the book cover of a fellow blogger scattered across the blogosphere! It's very eye catching! :)
ABftS, admit it, it's all about the Seals!!
Becca, I agree!
Misha, I hope you enjoy it (and totally understand on the badge)!
Cherie, woo-hoo!
Missed Periods, thanks!
DL, me, too!
