First, A-to-Z co-host Stephen Tremp's blog was shut down by Blogger/Google, and his access to Blogger was taken, which means he can't even post on the A-to-Z blog. He was told this was due to spamming. This isn't the first time I've heard of this happening. He's set up a temporary Word Press blog until he can work this out. Even then, he will be setting up long-term elsewhere. In the meantime, you can find him at www.stephentremp.wordpress.com. Please take a moment to go follow his new blog and drop him a note.
Second, the A-to-Z Challenge starts next week!
I've decided to go with a theme this month, though I will also attempt to do posts as normal on Mondays and Wednesdays for those not interested in the A-to-Z. I do hope, though, that you can enjoy my A-to-Z posts, even if you aren't participating.
My theme will be: History's Mysteries
Some you'll have heard of, and some you hopefully won't have. I've tried to seek out possible answers to give an idea of what might have happened when I can. I'm also working on keeping the posts short, but you guys know me by now, so you can't expect them to be one paragraph! Right?
See you next week!
May you find your Muse.

That sounds intriguing!
Sounds like a great theme. I'm looking forward to your posts.
Oh my gosh, I'm sorry to hear about what happened to Stephen. I can't believe it! What a shame. :(
Ooh, I like your theme! Can't wait to read :)
Excellent theme! I will make sure not to miss any mystery. :)
There are a lot of mysteries out there.
I'm so sorry Stephen lost his blog. I lost mine for a few hours last year, but they both came back on their own. Blogger told me it was just a glitch and had to do with Google+.
Thanks Shannon, I was wondering what had happened to Stephen. I appreciate the info and see you at A to Z :)
Theme, eek, I still can't decide. Gave a shout out to your buddy Stephen over at Wordpress.
That's terrible about Stephen's blog. Not everyone in the blog world is nice, as we're consistently warned. Will check out his new wordpress place.
I won't be participating on the A to Z, but will be lurking about the blogs I normally visit. Don't want to miss a good read.
Loving the theme~ love history!

Such a cool theme! I have lots of research on it in what concerns Romanian history and it's fascinating. Can't wait to see which mysteries picked up your interest and attention.
On my way to Stephen's new blog!
That's a theme after my own heart! I love unsolved mysteries and strange phenomena.
Very sorry to hear what happened to Stephen. I lost my old Angelfire website a few years ago, though for a different reason.
That sounds cool... let's see how many you can slip past me this year.
I love your theme. I'll definitely be checking out your daily mystery. And thanks for the info about Stephens blog. That sucks. Hopefully he gets everything back quickly.
Elliot

Love mystery histories! Looking forward to it!
Shannon, I cannot believe Stephen's blog announcement slipped my mind earlier this afternoon. Yikes! Your mystery theme will surely grab attention and turn some heads. I look forward to finding out what you discover :)

History's Mysteries! I love it. Looking forward to reading about them.
Thank you so much for the hard work you and the whole team have put toward this 2013 Challenge. It is thrilling to see so many fine writers out there!
Hi Shannon,
Thanks for letting us know about Stephen's blog. I wondered what happened and thanks for the link.
Your theme sounds fascinating. I shall visit your site whenever I can and see how you're doing with the challenge.
And now I must start my alternative postings that do bring awareness to the A to Z.
Be well, my friend.
Gary :)
Yay! Can't wait to read your posts. I'm a sucker for History's Mysteries.
Looking forward to unraveling some mysteries. Should be fun!
Alex, I hope so!
Julie, it's scary. Seems like it can happen at any time to any of us.
Marcy, thanks!
Al, awesome!
L. Diane, I'm glad it was an easy fix!
Mark, see you there!
Lacey, thank you for Stephen's shout-out! I didn't do a theme the first year, and it was just as fun, so don't stress yourself out.
D.G., thank you for sticking around!
Tina, I love it, too!
Adriana, I'd love to hear about Romanian history!
Carrie-Anne, I do, too! I used to consume books on unsolved mysteries. I'm surprised how many I thought were unsolved were actually solved when I started looking into them, so I'd have to scrap those.
Andrew, are you an unsolved mystery buff?
Elliot, glad to pass the information along. I would be so frustrated in his place.
Dawn, yay!
Nicole, we've all got a lot on our minds! The only reason it didn't slip mine is because I figured it would, so I put it in the post right then. It was lucky I had a little time.
Susan, thank YOU!
Gary, looking forward to your alternative postings!
Donna, thanks! I'm a sucker for them, too.
Jeff, I hope so!
I used to be.
Oh my! Its right around the corner!
Thanks for the shout out! I'm back on blogged with much effort just under a new name.
Re: Stephen's blog... um, WTF?!?! How does this happen? Hope he gets it sorted, but I can imagine him wanting to steer clear of Blogger after this. Sux :(
Your A-Z theme sounds great!
I like your theme! Spamming? Weird.
Your theme sounds interesting.
I visited Stephen's blog a few minutes ago. What a horrible thing to happen when we invest so much time into our blogs and websites.
Now that's a theme I could really get into. I'll try and come by as often as I can! :)
Good luck on the A to Z challenge and I look forward to see what mysteries you reveal!
I'm signed up for the A-Z challenge and just getting a headstart on reading the blogs. i look forward to reading about history's mysteries.
"History's Mysteries" sounds like a great theme!
I just left the comment, "'History's Mysteries' sounds like a great theme!" using my Wordpress.com ID.
Now I'm going to try using my Google account.
Basically, I'm testing to see if I can comment as my "true ID" -- which is to say, as the owner of my self-hosted blog. I see no option to use anything other than Google or OpenID. This has been an issue for me in the past when participating in Blogging from A to Z. I can't seem to leave comments on blogs whose owners have only those options without linking to my now-defunct Wordpress.com or Blogger blogs.
Yep, as I figured, both my comments point to the wrong place.
If you have a solution as to how I can have my ID point to the correct place (my self-hosted blog at randomsays.com, that'd be great.
I'll keep an eye out for your posts. Sounds intriguing. Hopped over to visit Stephen.
Shannon,
Thank you for all the work you're doing for this challenge. I appreciated you visiting my blog and your comment today. Thank you! I love history. Looking forward to reading your posts.
Hi Shannon your topic/theme sounds really good . My theme is on a favorite book The Black Dagger Brotherhood. I love them!
Andrew, I'm hoping D is a new one for you. It was for me.
Tammy, there's not even a full corner left anymore!
"Chase," so glad to hear it!
Trisha, exactly my thoughts! It's obvious he isn't a spammer.
Milo, definitely weird!
Medeia, precisely! I'm terrible at backing up my blog, but this is a good reminder.
DL, yay!
Mthoza, thank you!
Kyoti, I look forward to seeing you around the A-to-Z!
Aeol62, thank you!
Dan, I emailed you back. Not sure if that will be a workable solution for you.
J.L., I'm glad, thank you!
Sue, thank you, Sue! It's been great to meet you.
Jackie, Oh, that sounds good!
I love your theme! I'm an avid Discovery Channel watcher, and I'm so interested in real-life mysteries and surprising events. I can't wait! :-)
Hey Shannon! I love your theme of 'History's Mysteries' and can't wait to read your findings in the A-to-Z challenge this coming month! Very much looking forward to it; I have a feeling I'll be learning a lot from your posts! :)
X0.Brittney [Your All-Write Nanny]
Lexa, you will probably have heard of many of them then! I love Discovery Channel. I was sad when I lost it.
Brittney, thank you! I hope you like them.
That's too bad for Stephen. I'm looking forward to April, hope your month goes well!
